Before leaving, don’t forget to:

  • Check you have a valid passport and renew it if needs be. Photocopy the four first pages of your passport along with your plane tickets and traveller’s cheque numbers.
  • For car users: international driver’s license and insurance certificate if needs be.
  • Bring two additional passport photos just in case.
  • Give your travel itinerary, holiday addresses and a key to your home to your parents or friends.
  • Pack any containers with over 100 ml of liquid/paste/gel in your hold luggage.

Bring with you:

  • Blood group card
  • Personal medication and prescriptions
  • First Aid kit (ask your chemist for advice)
  • Ear plugs
  • Spare glasses, sunglasses
  • Anti-mosquito products
  • Sun cream, hats
  • Camera, film, batteries
  • Travel plugs (electrical appliances)
  • Suitcase keys, town maps, other maps
  • 2 CHF or 2 € coin for luggage trolleys (left luggage)
  • Transparent sealable plastic bag (max. capacity of 1 litre) for any liquid products in your hand baggage.
